If You've Been Taking VIOXX You May Need an Attorney!

On September 30, 2004 Merck voluntarily recalled the popular arthritis and pain medication, Vioxx, after the Federal Drug Administration issued a public health advisory.  Those injured may seek an attorney for legal assistance.

Serious side effects linked to Vioxx include cardiovascular complications such as heart attack, blood clots and strokes. For those patients already at risk for heart problems, the side effects relating to heart attacks are especially significant.  There are also serious stomach problems such as ulcers, stomach and intestinal bleeding, and liver damage. The symptoms might include nausea, tiredness, itching, flu-like symptoms and tenderness in the right upper abdomen.

Acute kidney failure and worsening of chronic kidney disease occur on rare occasions.  Other side effects, which are not life threatening, include:

Warnings Regarding VIOXX Go Unheeded by Manufacturer

These problems are not new. As far back as February 2001 the FDA voiced its concerns about Vioxx. And yet Merck & Company came out in May 2001 claiming Vioxx had a clean bill of health when the company knew better!

If you have any of these side effects and have been taking Vioxx, you should immediately contact your prescribing doctor.

If you think you or anyone you know has suffered from these Vioxx side effects, you may be entitled to compensation for the impact on your life.  Traut Firm attorneys are available to evaluate your Vioxx personal injury case at no cost or obligation to you.  For a free evaluation just click to our ==> Case Evaluation form.  Or simply call toll free 1-877-Traut-Firm.
